An AI-Powered World: Introduction
Hello! My name is Sathvik Ganti, an aspiring computer scientist & astronomer from Chicago, USA. Over the past couple of years, I’ve picked up an idea that is commonly known as “Artificial Intelligence”, but I've only recently started diving deep into it trying it out for myself.
I’ve learned so much in the recent months from Inspirit AI, a hands-on virtual program that guides students through multiple lessons on machine learning, neural networks, and AI in general and teaching us how to make our own machine-learning-powered projects. Some of the concepts we learned included Python libraries, neural networks, CNN’s, and NLP’s.
To me, AI is a no-brainer. We should be using it to simplify already existing tasks in our lives and for new tasks. AI can be used for almost anything, from analyzing and predicting data to creating music for example. It is safe to say that the possibilities are limitless.
Imagine an AI-powered world where automation takes place of tedious daily tasks all around the world, in public, or at home. The world will be bustling — with robots to be exact. What will happen to your favorite TV commercials? An AI will speak with you instead of a real person at a counter in any place. This isn’t the far future too. This in fact is taking place right now all around us (though not so evident with the current pandemic situation).
In the coming series of blog posts, I will be talking about the AI-powered world, automation, security/safety/ethics, and AI in space technology. I hope that I can inform people about what we can expect in the future as well as how this technology can and will be used.
